Mrunal Thakur's Controversial Remarks
Mrunal Thakur has once again found herself at the center of a controversy following an older interview. In the footage, she discusses her decision to decline a film that later became a massive success. However, it was her remarks about the actress who took her place that particularly caught the attention of social media users.
In the interview, Mrunal stated, "I turned it down because I wasn't prepared. There would have been controversies. It turned out to be a super hit and helped the other actress gain recognition. But I realized that if I had taken that role at that time, I would have lost my identity."
Her comments regarding the actress led to mixed reactions online, as she added, "The fact that she isn't working now while I am is a victory for me. I don't seek instant fame or recognition because anything that comes quickly can also fade just as fast."
One user on Reddit speculated, "I think she is referring to Sultan and Anushka." Another commented, "The actress from Sultan is Anushka Sharma. I remember her mentioning that she got the role, but in the end, Anushka was finalized. Plus, Anushka isn't currently active in films. I could be mistaken."

Previously, Mrunal faced backlash for comments made about Bipasha Basu's physique in another interview. She later apologized on Instagram, stating, "At 19, I said many foolish things without understanding the impact of my words. I regret that my comments hurt anyone."
She continued, "My intention was never to body-shame anyone. It was meant to be light-hearted banter that went too far. I've learned to appreciate that beauty comes in all forms, which I value deeply now."
In the earlier interview, Mrunal was seen with her co-star Arjit Taneja, where she made a controversial remark, saying, "Would you want to marry a girl who is muscular? Go marry Bipasha." She further claimed, "I am much better than Bipasha, okay?"
This statement did not sit well with many online, leading to criticism for body-shaming Bipasha. In response, Bipasha shared a cryptic message about the importance of women supporting each other, stating, "Strong women lift each other up. Embrace your strength, ladies! Muscles contribute to both physical and mental health. Let's break the stereotype that women shouldn't appear strong or be physically fit!"
